The idea behind making our handmade candles non toxic, came from wanting to make sure the candles that we were bringing into our home were safe and free of harsh chemicals and toxins. A little back story, I stumbled upon an article one day while just scrolling through social media while I had two seconds while the kids played alone. You know, if you see it on social media, it must be true, right? But this article caught my eye, so I decided let's just see what this has to say, cringing in my own skin because I am terrified of how many things this article is about to tell me that I need to now throw away in a panic purge! The article stating "The toxins in your home that you're not aware of" really won that day. As I read that article and the astonishment washed over me, I became more and more weary of the clearance candles sitting all around my house in a beautiful death trap of carcinogens and parabens that repeats itself in my head. That was it, I was done for. This mom has now hit defcon five of paranoia and that escalated into a fueled ambition to do as much research as I can on what I am poisoning everyone with without my knowledge. For someone like me who always finds comfort in the warm, cozy feeling of a candle and the ambiance the aromas give, I was terrified of what was actually going on. So, I started my own research and found that most of the candles we were buying were not as safe as we would like to believe. It was very important for me, being a mom of two and a fur mom of three, to find ingredients that are not harmful to the ones around us, whom we love. So I set out on my own path to reveal the truth behind all of the things we were bringing into our home and what I needed to look for and stay away from. I started making my own non toxic candles because I wanted to make sure that I knew what was in my candles. Then one candle turned into two, two turned into five and, before I knew it, it became the best hobby I could find. There is something wholesome about creating clean, quality candles that are not filled with harsh chemicals and toxins that are detrimental to my family's health. So I created our online store to offer the same option for others.
After repeated testing and trail and error, we have found some of the best quality ingredients, allowing for clean burning candles and more for our home.
